Jo khayal thay na qayas thay, wohi loag  SABA sey bichar gaye.

Jo mohabbaton ki asaas thay, wohi loag SABA sey bichar gaye.

 

Jinhain manta hi nahien ye dil, wohi loag merey hain hamsafar;
Mujhey har terha sey jo raas thay, wohi loag SABA sey bichar gaye.

 

Mujhey lamha bhar ki rifaqaton ke saraab bohat satayein gey;
Meri umr bher ki jo pyaas thay, wohi loag SABA sey bichar gaye.

 

Ye jaal sarey hain aarzi, ye gulaab sarey hain kaghzi;
Gul-e-arzo ki jo baas thay, wohi loag SABA sey bichar gaye.

 

Jinhain ker saka na kubool main, wohi shareek-e-rah safer huey;
Jo meri talab meri aas thay, wohi loag SABA sey bichar gaye.

 

Meri dharkanon ke kareeb thay, meri chah thay mera khuaab thay;
Wo jo roz-o-shab meray pass thay, wohi loag SABA sey bichar gaye.
